What is “tithing”? What does the word ‘tithe’ even mean? What are we supposed to “tithe”? Who gets this “tithe”?
Now, before you get the idea that this teaching is a covert fundraising effort, know that this teaching is for you, for your benefit, and for you to know that the Creator has your good in mind when he instructs you to give, what you should give, and to whom you should give.
Rabbi Steve Berkson exhorts us that all obedience brings blessing. When you are obedient in your giving practices–in the same way gravity works–blessings will come to you. You should appreciate the blessings and never forget from whom they come.
