Focusing on our hearts and minds towards the Creator and His Torah, Rabbi Steve Berkson continues our journey through King David’s writings in Psalm 119. Starting at verse 145, he highlights how David links petitioning God with explaining why we seek His help and why we believe He should answer. Rabbi Berkson questions whether, when we call out to the Almighty, “Answer me,” we can honestly say, “I observe Your laws.”
The Creator initially made us to receive from Him. Through faith in Messiah Yeshua and living righteously, we become a ‘new creature’ that moves from earthly, basic things to heavenly ones. This ‘new creature’ learns to be a ‘giver,’ like the Almighty.
