Show Notes

A recent study shows intermittent fasting is linked to a high risk of cardiovascular death.

The American study analysed 20,000 adults and found 91 percent were more likely to die from cardiovascular disease.

Auckland University head of nutrition and dietetics, Clare Wall, says it's hard to tell how accurate the study is.

"But what we don't know is actually how long these people have been on these diets for. The first thing I think about is- what was the quality of these people's diets? We don't really have enough information."
