People with fewer social ties had significantly higher risks of dying from heart disease and cancer. Dr. Claire Young contends that social isolation is a source of chronic stress that puts us at risk. Sometimes we just want to be left alone! But- If we shut ourselves off from the world, we can’t be much of a light to people in desperate need of hope. We thought we knew the plan God had in this season of life, when suddenly, an unexpected detour comes up. We doubt. We question. And guess what? This is normal! It’s ok to question God. In Mark chapter 9 we see a desperate father doubt if Jesus can save his son.
