Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 20 | Dawn-Marie Mutell Interview | Terri Levine
Episode 20 Interview With Dawn-Marie Mutell Welcome back to Heartrepreneur® Radio. I'm really glad you tuned in. It's Terry Levine Chief Heartrepreneur. And I have someone I'm really anxious to interview today. I have so many questions so her name is Dawn-Marie Mutell and she is the founder and CEO of Life's Necessities and Body Luxuries. So it's a home, body, soul and lifestyling business and I had to have her on the show when I heard that description. I was like Wow! They actually call her a life commodities broker and she is very versatile. She's a wardrobe styler, a personal stylist and a makeup artist. I want all of that. I'm just saying. She has over 25 years experience in fashion, entertainment, beauty and even an event planning businesses. As a young model and a dancer she aspired to be a dancer on Broadway and little did she know she'd be hit by a drunk driver at age 22 and her life would change forever. Her self-esteem crumbled and it took many many years to get back on track. And that's when she decided to help others lead happy, fulfilling and beautiful lives. I am so excited to have you with us Dawn-Marie. Thank you so much for joining us. Dawn-Marie: Thank you Terry I'm honored to be here. Terri: I have to tell you I've gotten your file when we scheduled this and I looked you up on line and was all excited to have you and as I was reading your bio I was like Wow aspired to be on Broadway and then I was like oh my goodness. So, how did you literally, I have to ask you, how did you pick yourself up and move forward. Dawn-Marie: That's really a good question. My parents taught me to be a strong-willed person and so that really helped me. When I was hit everything in the body went down and I thought okay the only thing I had was to aspire to be on Broadway. So I didn't have a Plan B and my dad would always say have a Plan B. So I didn't know what to do. Thankfully I knew how to type. I was able to get a job actually working at some music store after that. So that helped me pick up a different avenue of where I would go. So I wound up working in music business for quite a while. I said okay I can't dance but I can still groove to the music. And so that kind of kept me going. But I still felt there was something missing in my life and one of the things I loved to do was to help people and watch them flourish. If I can lift somebody's spirits then I'm a happy camper. I tried to find ways to do that and I started to do commercials and getting people in the music industry networking to different nightclubs and so I could connect with one another because I'm a connector. And I still felt like I'm still not doing what I wanted to do so I wound up finding a program at FIT to be an image consultant certification for 2 years and I thought OH this is it. I love fashion. My mom was a clothes horse and she really got me into fashion when I was a kid. Being a model when I was younger I was around makeup and fashion and I thought this could be a really great fit for me and that's how I got into it and kept it going. Terri: Wow that is really cool. Thank you. I always find it interesting when we are doing our thing and life throws up some kind of crazy curve ball. We never know what the heck life has in store. And not everyone can pick themselves up and keep and go forward and what I love is not only did you do that, but then you made that decision, I'm going to help others. So what is it exactly that you do? I'm fascinated. Dawn-Marie: Well I help men and women take the pain out of trying to get ready everyday. Whether they work out of an office or if you an entrepreneur and you have to go deal with clients or you maybe are a public speaker. First impressions, I mean it used to be 30 seconds, now it's like 3 seconds, you have to make a great impressions.
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 19 | Sally Thibault Interview | Terri Levine
Episode 19 Interview With Sally Thibault Hello Heartrepreneurs and welcome back to Heartrepreneur® radio. It's Terry Levine and I have a special guest with me today. You are going to enjoy her and you are going to want to pay a lot of attention for this interview. So my guest today is Sally Thibault. She is a professional speaker, a counselor, author, certified EFT practitioner and a woman success mentor. She has over 35 years of experience in the health and wellness areas. As a fitness instructor, trainer, tv show host, she facilitates the reclaiming of your passions. They are designed for business woman who want to reignite their passion, power, and purpose to create meaningful success and purposeful life and work balance. So she has been feature extensively in Australia, National and local media, I could go on and on. I want to get right into the interview. Welcome, Sally. I am so glad to have you with me. You have so much going on. Thank you for making time for me. Sally: Thank you for having me. It's a great honor to be here. Terri: I am really excited. There is a piece we didn't talk about. All of these other things that you have done since your son's diagnoses of Asperger's. There is so much you do and you are so full of helping people and to giving people. What do you do for you? How do you reignite your passion, power and purpose? Sally: Thank you for that question. I am focused on self-care. I have a daily routine. I am an early riser up at 4:30 and 5:00. I meditate and tap every morning and I work out about 5 times a week. So, things like that to me are essential when you want to give to others. When I am with clients, one of the things I focus on most of all, if you want to serve others, you must look after yourself. Those are just non negotiables. It's simple because I don't have children in the house anymore either. I can live more selfishly. Terri: I want to highlight some of the things you said. We have all kinds of business owners listening. A lot of us, fall out of routines and I think what you said, the words, non-negotiable are so powerful. It's really simple yet really profound which is if you are going to serve others, you have to look after yourself. I think that is so brilliant. Talk to me about the reclaim you. As soon as I heard that name, I just got goosebumps. What is that program? Sally: I have a great belief that success is not changing who you are, it's reclaiming who you are. We are all born with amazing abilities that serve us. We need to go back and reclaim those aspects of us. Raising a child with Asperger syndrome, I learned early on that in order to be present for my son and help him navigate his world, I had to be a whole human being. A whole mother. There were times during those years, he is now 31 and about to get married. He lives in Montreal now. The times when I was most shattered, as I like to say, were the times when he was most stressed. I learned that early on that I needed to be myself. Not anybody else. In order to truly connect with him on a heart level. We are heart centered people. When our hearts our whole, we attract people into our lives. I don't like to be anybody different. We have to say, here we are. The shattered pieces. We get lost in life. Terri: I like the concept of reclaiming who you are. I was thinking, yes, part of my journey over the last two decades, really has been picking up those pieces of me that I forgot and so the word reclaim really fit. The other thing that is so true to me is when you are heart centered and authentic and transparent, and you are focused on living in the present with your heart, with knowing who you are and what you passion is, oh my gosh, the universe keeps sending you more of that, more of that, more of that. Sally: That is the law of attraction. You attract to you.
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 18 | John McGrail Interview | Terri Levine
Episode 18 Interview With Dr. John McGrail Welcome to Heartreprenuer radio. I am excited to be back with you. I have someone today who teaches something very simple and yet very profound. His name is Dr. John McGrail is a renown hypnotherapist and a self-improvement expert and spirituality teacher. He promotes and teaches precepts. Life is supposed to be fun. As Heartrepreneurs you know that. That is why I have him here. He has helped thousands of clients and students and all walks of life, find their fun. He does this in his clinical practice and through self-improvement and seminars and workshops. He has a book exclusive synthesis approach that integrates science, spirituality, transformation and listen, the things we all want in our lives. Balance. I have to tell you he is really a featured expert. He has had his writings featured in major print like Time, Readers Digest, Cosmo, Redbook, Chicago Tribune, Huffington Post, etc. He is here right now and his book, we will get into and talk about The Synthesis to Direct Path to Personal Power and Transformation. Welcome! Dr. McGrail: Thank you so much I am delighted to be here today. Terri: I found you online and sort of stalked you for a while. The whole philosophy I believe so strongly is life is supposed to be fun. Let's talk about how you resonated with that and then your approach. Dr. McGrail: First, I am not sure I came up with that slogan. I may have learned it along the way in my studies. What it means is not an endless series of hedonistic parties and just a big ole bash. What it means is when your life is working the way you want it to and you have balance working for you, then when you get up in the morning, you look forward to the day. You like the way you are treating yourself. You like the relationships you have. You love what you do, hopefully. Most of us, have to earn money. It is the nature of our society. When all of that is working, you look forward to the day. You like the people you are hanging out with. You like what you are doing for a living. It creates an enormous feeling of well-being. I don't know the whole no pain no gain thing. It's not supposed to be that way. Terri: I couldn't agree more with that. That way bugs me. My very first book I wrote about 20 years ago, Work Yourself Happy. I was living a miserable life and I didn't understand the whole concept that life was supposed to be fun. It wasn't fun. Dr. McGrail: I had a similar experience in my earlier career. I have had several careers. I was in a similar place and I see this over and over again with my clients. People who are trying to live up to the expectations of others. Family, or society, memes, and they are miserable because they are not being true to themselves. When you live your life the way you want to live it, my favorite quote, There is only one success: To live your life in your own way. When you do that, it is just amazing how flow. How you begin to manifest in every way possible. That is what it is all about. That is what my synthesis process is all about. Terri: Please talk about your synthesis process. Dr. McGrail: It came from my terror, if you will at trying to find a topic for my dissertation. At the end of my PHD studies, I had done all of these research papers and now it's time to do something original. I thought what do I have to contribute to the field of human beings. What am I going to add to this? I was really terrified because I couldn't come up with anything. Call it divine providence, an inspiration, I thought I have over 1000 case files in my archives. I realized that most of my clients do very well, and some do ok. There are only a few that don't do so well. I said, let's see if we can find the common denominators for those folks who really excel and get through the …
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 17 | David Barnett Interview | Terri Levine
Episode 17 Interview With David Barnett Hello Heartreperenuers. It's Terry Levine and thanks for tuning in to Heartrepreneur® radio. I know many of you are very curious about selling your businesses. I've never been able to get a great expert to share their knowledge. That changes today. Today I have David Barnett. He has been evaluating businesses since 2008. He is a certified machinery equipment appraiser since 2009. He was the first person in his market to earn the certified business intermediary designation from the international business brokers association in 2009. He has worked with clients on transactions and that led him to the field for preparing businesses for sale and helping owners maximize value. I am excited about that. In 2014 he formalized a process to help businesses systematize their operations and formalize their organizations in bite sized steps that required minimal disruption of operation. This is getting to be really exciting. I want to tell you about his first book. It came out in 2014 and was an Amazon best seller. Today I invited him to talk about 2016, how to sell my own business. All of his books have achieved top selling spots in Amazon. I know David is busy. He does all kinds of things. Workshops, business acquisition, a YouTube channel, and a blog. David, thanks for taking time out of your day to join us here today on Heartrepreneur® radio. David: Thanks for inviting me. Terri: How did you and why did you resonate with the concept of selling businesses. How did that show up for you? David: It started because I was brokering debt solutions for small business owners. People were coming to me looking for ways to get money to start or expand their business. Increasingly, they were looking for money to buy businesses. What I noticed was there was a real lack of expertise in my market to help people do this properly. I saw a lot of poorly structured deals. I saw that many had no idea of what they doing. So I jumped into that field. I was in the industry from 2008-2011. I ended up leaving that business model behind me and now today what I do is work with people around the world to help them sell their own business. Instead of being a broker. Terri: The reason I am stoked about this is very often I talk to business owners of all kinds of businesses and they don't have an end game. A lot of them are getting older, don't have an end game. So let's talk about both. What would you advise to someone who is starting out and what would you advise to someone who is getting towards the place where they should think about selling their business. David: I tell people in my workshops and seminars, that you should have a plan for getting out of your business as well getting into it. Terri: I am glad you said that. David: A business is an asset. It is something that you own that is supposed to generate cash flow. When I owned my business brokerage and people were coming in to sell their business, they had one of the five top reasons to sell. Those were burnout, divorce, poor health, relocation and retirement. Four out of the five have nothing to do with how old you are. Four out of the five are not things that we plan for. I always advise people that if they are consistently considering the sale of the business and keeping their business in a saleable condition, not only will it be easier to sell when the time comes, but here is the great part, if your business is ready to sell and you have systems in place and everything is ready and you can hand over the reins to someone else, you will end up with an easier, manageable business in the present paying you more to own it today, regardless if it sells or not. Terri: That is fantastic. That is important for people. I go with Steven Covey.
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 16 | Boom Shikha Interview | Terri Levine
Episode 16 Interview With Boom Shikha Welcome fellow Heartrepreneurs. Glad to have you joining me. It's Terry Levine and I have a really special guest with me. This is going to be a very exciting interview. Boom Shikha is a serial entrepreneur, wander luster, online business owner, yogi, author and avid meditator. She is interested in helping you find your life purpose and get to your level 10 life. She also has a free private Facebook group that I suggest you look at. Go to her site after you have heard this interview. Its whatsyourfreedomnumber.com How about that? So, I know this will resonate with you because we are all about life purpose and having the juiciest life ever. Welcome! Shikha: Thank you for having me. Terri: I am just excited to hear a little bit more. What is it that you do to help people get to their life purpose and level 10 life? Shikha: I began letting people know that you can actually a level 10 life. A lot of people unfortunately have this block that we think if we poorly in business, then we it will carry into our relationships. My first step is let them to know it's possible to get to get to that level and I can help them remove that block. Terri: That gave me goosebumps. We want the magic and juice out of life. How long have you been doing it? Take us through. Shikha: I actually started as an informal thing with my friends and family. Letting them know all of the books that I have read. I wanted to share my information. Officially I quit my job in March 2016 and started this. The new brand and the Facebook page. I decided to do this because I have removed this block specifically through meditation. I started meditating consistently. That reaching into my thinking and how I thought. I wanted to share that with individuals around me. Terri: That is beautiful. I love when someone steps away from being a wage slave and into the joys of life. Congratulations. That is great. Knowing what you know now, if you could start over, what would your day look like? Shikha: I think if I did want to start over, I would have a stronger, morning routine. I have a good routine now but I get distracted because there is so much going on in my life and in the world. I recommend to anyone who is starting over is to have a strong, consistent morning routine. To include meditations, journaling, affirmations, visualizations. Following the formula of the miracle morning. Terri: I do that every day. Shikha: I love that you seek that consistently. It is really hard. Terri: It took me about 6 months to be practicing all parts of it. But initially a client sent me the book and said it changed her life. I started incorporating a bit and then a little more. Within 6 months, I have been avidly doing it daily. Shikha: Wow. That is powerful. Terri: I want everybody to pick up The Miracle Morning. It's an amazing book. Shikha: That's ok. So, one of the other things I mentioned if you are younger and just coming out of high school, I ask you to focus a little less on getting a degree and more on what do you actually want to do with your life. I recommend if you are interested, take a couple years off and don't worry so much about a BS or a Masters. Focus on how you can use your skills to make this a better world. The money will follow. I know everybody says this, but seriously it is the way it is. Terri: What do you say to someone who is in a job, and they really have a desire to amp up their life. They just feel like, well, you don't know my life circumstance, I can't right now. Shikha: I hear that all of the time. They say, oh you have such an amazing life, but I could never do that. I could never quit my job or shut my business, … Love the show? Subscribe, rate, review, and share! Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 15 | Erica Blair Interview | Terri Levine
Episode 15 Interview With Erica Blair Hey there it's Terry Levine at Heartreprenuer radio and thanks for tuning in to another episode. I am excited to interview my guest. Her name is Erica Blair. Erica is a marketing strategist. A personal branding coach and location independent entrepreneur. She is in Thailand right now. She works with merchant entrepreneurs to generate influence and income by building an online presence. I know that many of you are interested in the online presence. One of the main reasons I wanted to have her. She helps people uncover ways they can connect to an audience by sharing their own unconventional stories as well as the knowledge they have gained through lived experiences. This is perfect. Welcome to the show Erica. Erica: Thank you so much for having me. Terri: I am excited. Before we get into some of the wonderful tips that you are going to give us, tell us about yourself and your background and how you got into this work. Erica: So, I am American although I live in Thailand. I grew up in California. I loved traveling. My whole life. I always wanted to. I decided to make my way abroad when reached adulthood. It's been about 7 years abroad altogether. Finally figured out a way that I could live the lifestyle that I loved and also have a career that really worked for me. So, I came to this path that I am on right now through getting my start as a social media marketer. Which then evolved into doing some of the higher level strategy stuff. What I found was that I really loved working with people to develop their stories and figure out how they can get those online to the people that they wanted to reach. Terri: What do you mean about developing their stories? People are going to have questions. Erica: I think we witness a lot change in our world over the last decade or so. What does it take to connect with people through your business and through your personal branding? It has really shifted. There used to be things you could do and then things you couldn't do. There is your personal life and then there is your professional life. Now it's sort of melding. People now are really craving authenticity in a way that we weren't before because we have almost unlimited options in terms of who we can turn to for input. Who we can turn to for advice. For someone to stand out in a crowd now, it take a lot more now. People are looking to work with people who they can really connect with on a deeper level. We have access to so many people to work with that in order to stand out, I think it's really important to get really clear on who you are and who you like working with. Then to really figure out how you can talk about that. How you can share what makes you unique, what kind of life experiences you have had, and that may extend far beyond what was considered the professional realm. Terri: How does someone go about figuring this out? Erica: it's a process. There is no standard answer because it depends on where you are in your own comfort level with sharing your story. There are vulnerable spots you may have. For me, I think about the lessons I want to share and then instead of just saying in the abstract, ok this, this and this, I really try to look for a way to back it up with an anecdote to explain how I reached that realization. I like to explain the reasoning how I discovered things. It's about taking these things that you talk about in abstract and figuring out how you can apply personal authorities. When people hear that you have lived it, they are not able to refute that it's true. It is something that you have really been through. I think a lot of that has to do with practice as well. No matter who you are, when you first start sharing your story online, and …
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 14 | Caitlin Doemner Interview | Terri Levine
HEARTREPRENEUR 14 – CAITLYN DOEMNER I am very excited to have a special guest with me today. A guest who I really believe can help you in your business. I have Caitlyn Doemner. After studying at Oxford University and getting her MBA, Caitlyn launched virtual coaching sales and that was back in March of 2013. Listen to this woman. Within two weeks, they had sold over $250,000 for their client. That turns me on. That is why I asked her to come. By December of 2015 they closed over 3 million in new business for their clients. They also generated a million for themselves in their first 33 months of business. I know that you have been listening to the show and you know how few businesses do a million. Especially female operated business. Caitlyn is the author of the Unseen Sales Machine: How to scale and automate your high end sales. And something that speaks to me: Sell with heart. How to grow your company with love and authenticity. Her vision is to empower entrepreneurs to become CEO's by scaling them out of their own sales process so they make more money doing less selling. I know you all want that. Caitlyn and her husband outside of LA with 4 kids and 11 chickens and 4 turkeys. I am so happy to have you. Caitlyn: Thank you so much for having me Terry. Terri: You are welcome. Let's jump right in. What kind of sales was your client doing? All of a sudden you have $250,000 in two weeks. What kind of sales? Caitlyn: Her name is Margaret M. Lynch and she is an expert speaker and the author of happy into wealth. She helps people unblock their money mindset and step into their power. Financially and personally. It's in the coaching industry is where we started. We worked with many great people. We really have been blessed to work with amazing female coaches in the industry. We support them in their sales. Terri: What is different? Coaches out there trying to sell themselves. What is the secret sauce that you bring? Caitlyn: I have to admit, when I first started virtual coaching sales, it was when my coach asked me to sell for him. He wanted me to sell for him. I told him, I don't know how to sell. I told him I never sold anything in my life. My background was academic. I was afraid of selling. My business partner at the time was this coach's sales consultant. Together we came up with a two part model. Find the problem and then create a solution. I thought, I would love to do that. So I scheduled an appointment for my boss. The thing I wish someone would have told me at the time, all that work I was doing was actually selling. It took me a long time to recognize that selling is not some secret formula. It's simply listening really well to what people need and want and then coming up with a solution that is profitable for you and fits in their value equation. This two part model, setting the appointment, then closing the deal on the second call, it really broke the sales process into two very easy to do pieces so that nobody felt they had to take them from a cold lead to a closed deal. It's very grueling for a single person. Also, it provides a level of credibility for the closer and the coach we are doing this for. We have 3 degrees where if the first person can't get through then the second and third may try. It provides a level of consistency and reliability to the sales process. This is something many entrepreneurs lack. There is no system in place to make sure that leads are qualified and educated and engaged and invited into the program day in and day out. Terri: I love this. I have trained 5000 coaches so I know this is something they need. I will say it resonates one of my books is Sell without Selling Lessons from the Jungle for Sales Success. It's all about what I call …

Your life to look like? Let's improve that today. Whenever I talk to prospects, who might want to hire me. I will talk with them for about 10 minutes. It's simple when I chat with them. I want to see if I can help them. I have no idea if I can even help them. And If I can, how? What can I do to serve or support you? And my job is equally important that if I can't help you or support you, I point you into other resources that I know. What is going on right now in your business? What is the gap? What is not quite right, yet? What specifically is broken? What is busted that you want fixed? You want results and achieve goals or you want to get to your vision but something is in the way. That problem is actually costing you impact. It could be financial emotional, physical. There are a lot of ways it can impact. Let me share with you today a way you can get a ton of business. Ready? I love when you guys share my podcasts and tell folks about them and share on social media. First I want you to get a notebook. I want you to write down one to two hundred. The numbers one to two hundred. Then, over the course of the next seven days, I want you to fill in those 100 lines with everybody and I mean everybody that you know. No judging, just every single person that you know. It could be your friends, family, your neighbors, colleagues, group, on social media, people you met at events, networking meetings, the person who does your hair, your dentist, your nail tech, the dry cleaner, your accountant, on and on, your coach, everybody. I only want you to put down their names. If you know their phone numbers and email addresses, put that down too. By the way, I know you guys, you will get ten or twenty and think oh, I will never come up with 100 let alone 200. Do it every seven days. Carry the notebook with you. Constantly put down the names of people that you think of. Every time I meet someone they go in my book. That book by the way is worth millions to me. That is step one. Step two is over the course of the following week, this is a 2 week assignment, make sure you get their snail mails. So, contact each person and say hey I am missing your email, or your address, or your phone number. Just get all of that information together in your little notebook. After you have done that, I want you to go through all of the names with a highlighter. Highlight all the ones that you would consider the ones who were most likely to refer to you. Really understands what you do and would like to help you. Highlight those. They are your A list. Then you can circle or star all of the ones I call your B list. They are simply the people who don't know you too well, but they might want to help. Then anybody else on there, dump them. All of the people that are one there that are your A's, get in touch with them. Ask for their birthdays anniversaries, and say, hey I would love to have this. Over …
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 12 | Gayle Katz Interview | Terri Levine
Thanks for tuning in. I am really excited about today's interview. I came across Gayle Katz and thought she has to be here. She helps others to discover that they are not as fat, ugly and stupid and they think they are. Let me tell you why that resonates with me. I grew up with that story in my head. She is a recovering self-depreciator, I guess I am too. She works hard every day to not let her past dealings with toxic people interfere with her happy, present life. If difficult people have put you through the ringer, chances are she's been there. She has been blogging not too long ago. She wrote two books designed to help you with toxic people. They draw from her experiences over the past 30 years. She is not a psychologist, but what she has done is developed real life strategies to deal with the toxic people in her life so she can live a great life. She shares that so you can live a great life too. Gayle, welcome to Heartrerpeneur Radio, thanks for coming here. Gayle: Thanks for having me. It's great to be here. Terri: I am so excited to have you and I am being transparent with my audience. I did grow up being told I was fat, ugly and stupid. Even though I was underweight. I believed I was fat and then I got fat. I love when you say recovering self-depreciator. I have had toxic people in my life. First of all, talk to us about what do we do, how do we notice if we have toxic people? How do we push them out? Gayle: There are so many ways that somebody can be toxic that it's much simpler to look at your reaction to them. So, if you are feeling sad, or angry or upset, or hating yourself after talking to someone, chances are, the person you are talking to you may be toxic to you. They are inherently making you feel bad. That is not a good thing. You want to live a great life and want to be happy. If there are people who make you feel those not too good feelings that is not good. As for getting them out of your life, that is interesting. It took me 30 years to figure that out. I grew up in the same environment. I was overweight and my father always let me know that. You are not the only one. I am not the only one. I finally realized that. The first thing you really need to do if you are in the middle of a situation, you need to diffuse the situation and take out the tension. If you are in the middle of talking to someone who is making you feel bad, stop doing what you were doing and try something new. Such as when you are in a conversation with someone, and they are trying to push your agenda, or they are saying something nasty, you can say, you are right. Whether you agree with them or not, how can you argue with someone who is telling you that you are right. Some people might have trouble with that. In those situations, you can say things like I understand. Or can you explain that. The beauty of those phrases is that it shows that you are listening. These people that are making you feel back, they just want people to listen to them. They might even be flattered that you are listening to them and taking their suggestions seriously. Those little words can change the whole dynamic of a conversation. Terri: I am sitting here and I am like shaking my head up and down saying, I recently got rid of someone toxic and it took me almost 2 years. I knew they were toxic and couldn't get rid of them and finally, I just stopped arguing. Whatever he says, whatever. I am not going there and not going to get into it anymore. It made him almost give up. He told me one time, you are impossible. I am like, hmmmmm, it's because I am not arguing. I wish I had you because I would have taken all of the power away. This is what I love about you. You give simple easy strategies and you are not coming from a psychology …
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 11 | Kristie Kennedy Interview | Terri Levine
Welcome to Heartrepreneur® radio and I have a special guest. Her name is Kristie Kennedy. She is a licensed image enhancement consultant. A certified Women's Wellness expert. She provides confidence and clarity coaching to female leaders, executives and business owners who are being the world's best kept secret and are ready to claim center stage of the leading lady of their own life and powerfully shift in their mind and magnificently shine. I am excited about this interview because I know many of these women and I have a feeling some of you are listening. Let's pay attention to some of the brilliance she can bring us today. Thanks for joining us. Kristie: Thank you for having me. Terri: I am always curious. What is your background and experience? What did you do to get here? Kristie: I was the fearful one. The timid one who never raised my hand, so I understand the internal fears and how you can become a prisoner in your own home and in your mindset. It wasn't until my later years that I realized I no longer wanted to be in prison. No longer wanted to blend in a crowd in a room. I wanted to be the centerpiece. I dedicated the rest of my life to helping other people who are like me. Shy and on the inside and need a little push to get it out of them. Terri: wow. What is it that makes you so passionate about your business? I can hear the passion. I was looking at your sheet and what popped out was amazing. So much passion. I see it in your photo. What is the passion that is driving you? Kristie: When I came from an environment where I was labeled as not being the smartest one in the room, people had no idea that I was multi-talented. I didn't even know it. I know the power that resides on the inside of us when we take time to discover it for ourselves. We are our own heroes. We are looking for someone to say pick me or choose me on your team even though I may be the ugly duckling or whatever it may be. I am for the underdog. I know what resides on the inside of someone who may be overlooked or casted aside because the y don't verbalize. I am an introvert but a powerful speaker. Most people don't think that we don't have things to say. We have mounds of things to say. We take time to feel people's heart and their pain. We have the empathy for others. That is where it comes from. Terri: People sometimes laugh when I tell the audience this. I have been speaking on stage since age 5. Some audiences as big as 5000 in a room. I say to people, I am an introvert. They will laugh. I really am. My preferred way of being is quiet and myself. Put me on a stage, and I have a lot to say. I am resonating with this. I do have a question, I always hear as a business coach, I hear life issues as well as business. I always hear the reasons people can't do things. Can you speak to the women in particular who step up and get stopped and their momentum gets stuck. Kristie: Just recently a lady in boxed me about being stressed out about wanting to run and hide in her life. It's so easy because women wear so many hats. It's not secret. You have to be strong and for the woman who feels like she is stuck, it's just a mindset. I tell people, in your mind, especially if nothing massive has occurred by being passive, you have to recognize that if you are going to be great, it's going to be a fight. Fight for what you believe in. Fight for your dreams. On the inside, there are limitless possibilities. Terri: I am going to repeat a couple things. Write this down. Nothing massive occurs by being passive. One of the key quotes that I have heard here. I love this: Focus on something other than the problem. I think that is a big part of the problem of keeping people stuc…
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 10 | Valerie Herald Interview | Terri Levine
Thanks for tuning in to Heartrepreneur® radio. I have a special guest named Valerie Herald. She helps people who feel like that don't fit in and are craving to be their fun, authentic self. I am excited about this because I felt like I used to live that way. Not being authentic. Her process is the only guaranteed way to live life on your own terms. I have the expert here. She not only has a process, she guarantees the process. She has been there and done that and she develops a message using energy and soul coaching. She focuses on teaching you actionable steps and demonstrates how you can apply those to your life now. That is what we want here. No matter what they say, what you see or what you hear, its times to be you. Crazy, fun, authentic, and YOU. I love all of that. Thank you and welcome to the show. Valerie: Thank you for having me. Terri: What is your story and what was going on for you? How did you make the shift for yourself? Valerie: It's been gradual over the years. The most reason was I had an injury about 6 and half years ago. I started seeing a pattern in my life with these moments that you come down to your darkest days. You think, what am I gonna do? How am I going to get out of this? The message I received was the answer was within. I realized I have been looking outside of myself to others to tell me how to live. That wasn't working. I hit on the head told me it wasn't working. Then I started to find a new way. I found myself and claim myself and started to live for me instead of other people. Terri: Wow that is awesome. What do you think this is? Why so many of us are not being authentic? I remember feeling like I really wanted to be authentic and I just felt like I couldn't. What's going on? Valerie: Different things, it might be a trauma or abuse we had. We get put into a victim situation where we were powerless. We expected other people to be that power for us. We tend to live our lives based on the past. What happened in the past is dictating how we live now. Most of the time, we are reacting to life instead of creating it. It takes away our living now and being ourselves now. Another thing is that growing up in society we have had people telling us all of our lives that you need to do this and you need to be that. We internally take on those messages and we feel like we have to be that. It's about returning that power back to ourselves. We realize that what was told to us, is not the way it really is. It comes back to that higher self within us and starting to listen to that. The noise of the world can be so loud. It's coming back to hearing that tiny voice. Until we get it stronger with in us. Terri: Can you give us a tip or two that can make us stronger and allow us to be more authentic? Valerie: Sure, I always say that we get signs all of the time whether we are being aligned with who we are or not. Usually things pop onto your radar and when it shows up you think, it's just not quite right. Make one small change to create something different. We have patterns and we are responding to situation the same time every time it shows up. When the situation presents itself, just choose something different. Instead of arguing back, you choose not to respond. Or find a way to laugh at a situation instead of getting super upset and crying about it. Just being playful with it and trying to find that different path. Terri: I like that. Is there a way that we can tell am I truly being authentic? Is there a way someone can know that and sense it? Valerie: Yeah, physically it's the quickest way to know if you are not aligned. It will show up in the gut. You will feel like it's a battle going on in there.
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 9 | Anna Leutbecker Interview | Terri Levine
Here we are for another episode for Heartreprenuer radio. I am having so much fun bringing you people that I have met who have interesting ideas, agendas and have a passion for doing what they love. Recently, I met a woman that just resonated with me. Her name is Anna Leutbecker and she works full time as a client relationship manager. She plans, sponsors with their retirement plans. She is also involved with a direct sales company called Kyani. This is what resonated with me about Anna. She has a passion. She wants to help people achieve a healthier version of themselves. She shares the triangle of health. Her goal is to transition from the corporate world to direct sales full time. She recently joined the Polka Dot Power House. It's a wonderful way to help people to grow and allow her to increase her circle of influence. Anna also has a passion in mental health and is trying to figure out ways to get involved and to help people who are struggling with mental health. Making sure they get the proper care and treatment. I brought her here and would like to introduce her. Welcome to the show Anna. Terri: I am excited about you for a lot of reasons but mostly because of your mission. How did you get into what you are doing and what is your mission? Anna: I have done a lot of direct sales. I was approached with Kyani a couple years ago. I started taking the product but wasn't sure about getting into the business. I started taking the product and I used to get chronic headaches two to three times a week. Every once in awhile they would be migraine like. After about 6 or 7 months after starting to take the product the triangle of health, I look back and thought wow, I haven't' had a headache. That was the only thing that changed. I hadn't taken ibuprofen or changed my diet, so this was a big win for me. That is when I decided there is something here. I decided to do something different with this company and this product. Terri: I know so many people who get migraines and to know there is something out there, that is awesome. You mentioned something we first talked, triangle of health. What does that mean? Anna: Kyani has created three unique products. They are so unique in the health and wellness industry. When we think about nutritional supplements, pills, taking this and that, and measure it, this product is unique because its food and plant based, a 100% natural. They have broken it down to three products: First one is Sunrise. We take this in the morning. We need a product with water and we need a product that will help absorb the nutrients. The bio availability is 97 to 100%. Which to me is fascinating because our body is 70% water, we have that product that is geared to the water soluble parts of our body. The next product is Sunset, the next is Nitro. Terri: That is really smart. People sometimes forget, which is interesting that our bodies are water. We are water. Thanks for that reminder. What is your interests in the mental health area come from? Anna: Well, it's something that is near and dear to my heart. In 2012 I met my husband. We got married in 2014 and he was diagnosed bipolar. Marriage isn't easy and it isn't easy with a mental health component added to it. For him, the disability and being the sole provider, it's something I try to focus on is making sure he gets good care with the limited amount of resources provided by Medicare. Making sure that he gets psychiatric help and counseling as well. Terri: I have recently had a client and a friend who people said that are acting weird or strange, or whatever and in both cases, it was nothing more than they were dealing with some depression. Mental health issue in another case. There is such a lack of understanding.
Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 8 | Jason Freeman Interview | Terri Levine
I am so excited to introduce my guest. I got introduced to him only a few months ago and it feels like I have known him for a long time. I instantly could feel his light just radiating. I could feel how much he was willing to give and share and contribute to others. I was so attracted to his being. I am so excited that he has agreed to be my guest today. Jason Freeman equips people to do their imperfect best. I love those words. In their professional and personal lives. He is a bravery coach and inspirational speaker. He inspires people to get off of the sidelines of their lives and do their imperfect best. One of the expressions I say all of the time is that we are all perfect with our imperfections. So it's so beautiful to have a guest who gets my philosophy. Welcome Jason. Jason: Thanks for having me today. Terri: I thought we could begin with your story and then your why as to what you are doing. Jason: When I was born, I lost a little oxygen when I was little and developed a speech impediment also some coordination. For years, I was down about them. I then realized that all I had to do was my imperfect best to move forward and my outlook on life has transformed and so I want to share that with other people that whatever their problem is, that change can happen. Terri: I love this because as you shifted and accepted imperfection is perfect, you were able to not only amp up your life and the quality of your life, but now you can make an impact on others, yes? Jason: Definitely. Terri: When you speak and when you are out there as a bravery coach, who do you like to speak to and what is the big message. Jason: I love to speak to people who are willing to make a change in their lives. The big message is not to sit on the sidelines and keep planning to add one day and take small imperfect steps to gain momentum in the direction in the way you want to do. Terri: Beautiful. I was thinking about this when I was introducing you. You are a bravery coach. I have trained over 5000 coaches in my training school. I have an email of 25,000 coaches, I have never in all of my experience meet anyone who has come across my path and said they were a bravery coach. How did you come up with that? Jason: I came up with it because I realized that bravery is where people most need to listen to themselves. There are no excuses. Why things are possible and it takes true bravery to cut through the excuses day after day and take the smallest steps forward. Terri: Beautiful. I heard somebody say something and I thought about you. They said, I always say yes, even if I am scared. Even if I don't know how or think I am going to fumble or mess it up. I always go ahead and say yes. It made me think of you. Can you relate? Jason: I think it's important to say yes to the things we really want to do in life. But by the same token, I firmly believe we need to be clear on what we don't want to do in life and say no to going down those paths. Terri: Thank you for that. Say yes to the stuff that is juicy and exciting and challenges us, and then also have your clear boundaries on what doesn't feel good or right. Perfect. If someone is tuning in and they are not so happy with their business or their life. What is the best piece of advice you can give them in this moment. Jason: Life is about change. That change is possible. Their unhappiness isn't permanent. They have frustrating circumstances and they are not permanent. They just need to the very next right thing. I think so often we look at the five year picture of whatever, and we get really overwhelmed. Terri: What great advice. It has been my experience too. Something could seem like its going wrong or its overwhelming, and just that shift in my mindset,

We have an interesting topic don't we M: Let's put everyone who is listening in this space of expansion. We are going to expand and blow their minds and their world apart. Let's do it. T: I want to get into two things. How did you get into what you do/ describe what you mean by muse? M: It's been an adventure. A calling with in me for many years. Putting that mystique into words or a way to describe energy and how it flows has been a challenge because I live in the world of feelings. As a muse, what I do is a little different than coaching in that it's not coaching or counseling, its people come to me to get tapped into something, a stream of energy that is bigger and more expansive than where they presently are. So, with that, feminine energy is our ability to create. Our ability to be the essence of things that are going to be birthed into the world. Hence the female and the womb. A muse is that essence. Tapping into the beauty and creativity and it's something that with that mystique it's a little bit out of the box. It's a tuning in and tapping in and boom the ideas spark. Getting out of the realm of everyday and getting into a place that through play and adventure, that we spark something new that wants to come in. T: wow. Now let's get into the boardroom to bedroom? Where did that concept come from? Who should be the ideal client? How raises their hand and says I am in. M: It means professionally and personally. There is no difference in our lives that how we are in one, like being controlling, overworked, letting the masculine, more dominate the linear, we are going to show up that over when we come home. We bring that more or less in our personal life also. The boardroom to the bedroom is a concept I have been hearing for over 15 years in my head that we can live a life fully expressed, fully enjoying what we are doing from the boardroom to the bedroom. It's our ideal client would be that person who is feeling burnt out. Stressed. Like the mundane. They are continuing going to work every day and they come home and their relationships are teetering. Numbed out. Not passionate about the things they are doing. They are doing it out of necessity. Out of responsibility. Love the show? Subscribe, rate, review, and share! Your Business Community Determines Your Success
Do You Have A Business Community? In my experience, every business owner needs to be supported by some type of business community. Do you belong to one? If you are a local business you can find a business community in your area. If you are a national, or international company then I strongly advise you find a global business community to be a part of. Why do I believe being part of a community is so important? When you own a business you want to be adding value to your local community or to the global niche community you are part of. Businesses that help the community and that are part of a small business community association create value for their community through business community service, community business partnership, their business community involvement, and community business development. The small business community in your local area is depending on the local business community to help strengthen the local economy, help local charities and organizations, and be an active part of the local area. If you haven't done this yet, I strongly suggest you look at some community involvement ideas for businesses. Businesses in the community usually come together and form a community business model. There are many models for community businesses to get involved in and most models provide community business services. If you have a local or regional business, I suggest you start by becoming more well known as a community business and don't sit in isolation. I recommend you look at the community business model and participate in this model because it works by having a community of businesses pool their resources together to draw in customers, to conduct marketing and to drive up revenues. Sales can be generated more easily when you have a local physical community business model where your business serves the needs of the community. When you have a local presence and the business actively participates in community events your business will be found more easily by prospective customers. Sometimes, when the local community is more expanded and covers a greater geographic region, you can align with your community through membership in professional organizations in your local community or even a business community college, and play an active role in their programs. Often community business lenders are active in these communities and there is an entire community business plan that has been pulled together with the active community based businesses. If you are a national or international business you now can use the Internet to bring members to your on-line community. On-line communities tend to focus on similar professions, similar goals, or people who have similar needs or problems. There are many small business online community programs now. If you are seeking a community where you can learn to grow your business with liked minded business owners who are ready to do business heart-to-heart and to turbocharge and transform your business as a Heartrepreneur® , then I suggest you join this on-line community: https://heartrepreneur.com/the-heartrepreneur-network/ This community helps business owners: Give up your limiting beliefs, fears, and anxieties and make clear heart based motivated decisions quick… Love the show?
