Show Notes
To say that "Food is Medicine" is an important concept is an understatement. The rest of the message, that "Food Can Be Poison," is seen every day at the Kahn Center for Cardiac Longevity.
This week, Dr. Kahn focuses on new data that shows adhering to the Mediterranean (MED) diet lowers the risk of a wide range of heart diseases in women based on a large new study. There is no doubt that this is true for men too. The MED Diet is contrasted with Dr. Longo's Longevity Diet and the true Whole Food, Plant-Based Diet. The traditional site to learn more about the MED diet (www.oldwayspt.org) is also discussed as a resource.
