After the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit ruled in August that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration had to restore critical safeguards for chemical abortion drugs and prevent their shipment by mail, the U.S. Department of Justice requested that the Supreme Court review the 5th Circuit’s ruling. As the nation waits for the Court’s decision, questions abound. Can Congress prevent the shipment of abortion drugs by mail?
