Gina Upchurch: Community Pharmacist Providing Advocacy and Medication/Health Literacy
Gina founded PharmAssist to ensure that Older Adults could advocate for themselves with doctors and other health providers. PharmaAssist provides medication financial assistance, medication literacy, and Medicare education. PhamAssist works with Older Adults to develop medication action plans to share with their providers about their medications and health goals. Gina is a second generation Pharmacist; her organization is a great example of a local health leader providing critical medication education to Older Adults.
