Gerardo Sandoval: Media Artist, Health Advocate and a Volunteer for a Clinical Vaccine Trial.
Gerado Sandoval is the Producer for HealthCare UnTold; he is also a Media Artist and Health Advocate. A couple of months ago he and his partner volunteered for the Moderna Clinical Vaccine Trial, and Gerado got selected. He shares why it was so important for his family to volunteer and the emotional process that he went through.

Gerado received a vaccine as a volunteer for the Moderna Clinical Vaccine Trial. This trial was a blind study, so he did not know whether he got the "real" vaccine or a placebo. Gerado's family wanted to help move the vaccine approval forward because they wanted to protect their son's future as well as to ensure that there was representation from the Latino and Latinx communities. His hope is that he can encourage the Latino and Latinx communities to get protected by taking the vaccine when it is available.
