Neville Janke shares a tale from his father's 1944 diary about creating a silage pit when feed crops were abundant. Buried 4 feet deep, this silage remained untouched for 46 years until Nev unearthed it in 1990. Remarkably, the silage, still bound by twine, was well-received by the cows.
