We all experience moments where our behavior betrays our beliefs. Sometimes, we act hypocritically because of fear, pressure, or a desire to please others. We are in the passage where Peter denies Jesus 3 times...what seems like a failure of no return.But what we forget that Jesus being not only fully man but fully God, knew that Peter was going to do this well before it happened...and yet... Jesus still loved Him, poured into him, discipled him and forgave him. What does this teach us of our relationship with Jesus when we fail? Are we cast out? Condemned? NO! Do you understand that all this was done to save us from the condemnation of our sins? Do you understand that he is the truth, the life and the way to heaven?Maybe you do, but others need to understand that his example of servanthood, is what needs to be done to share love to your neighbor? Do you understand that without that there’s no an actual expression of humbleness? Do you understand that if you don’t do this, there is no evidence that you are an actual disciple? Do you understand that?How can your life change if you turn this sermon into actions? If you start showing this kind of servant leadership in your work or at home with you family? We have reached the famous section in Hebrews (11:3-40) where it lists men and women of God and recounting how they had faith...This passage can be quickly read through and completely missed as a place of encouragement and direction for us today.The Hebrews were going through challenges and difficulties, feeling discouraged (sounds familiar to anything you are going through?), and the writer comes to recount their history, just as a coach would remind a discouraged team of the history and legacy or their club.
