Solo Ball, UConns junior guard, has been named a finalist for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award. He leads the Huskies in scoring, shooting, and rebounds, ranking high in the Big East for made threes. Ball recently reached the one thousand point mark for UConn, sitting fiftieth all time. Meanwhile, three Huskies - Silas Demary Jr., Tarris Reed Jr., and Alex Karaban - were named to the first team by the Associated Press and coaches. Demary Jr. also won Transfer Newcomer of the Year honors.
