Hartford Police Charge Second Suspect in Organized Sex Trafficking Case Involving Teenage Girls
Two teenage girls, aged 14 and 15, were allegedly trafficked by 23-year-old Shai Broaden and 27-year-old Akeem Harris. The victims were lured through an online app, forced into sex acts, and their photos were used in explicit ads on Skip the Games. Broaden faces two counts each of trafficking in persons and risk of injury to a minor. Harris was arrested in December, and more arrests are expected.
