Monroe Investor Mordchai Stern Acquires Hartford Apartment Building for $3.2M
Mordchai Stern, a Monroe, New York investor, recently purchased a 35-unit apartment building in Hartford for $3.2M. The deal closed on February 20th, with Sterns company acquiring the 1920s brick property from a Brooklyn investors LLC. This is Sterns second significant Hartford buy in February, following a $2.45M purchase of a 30-unit building in Asylum Hill. In the Groton Street deal, Stern assumed a $2.21M loan from Arbor Agency Lending. The transaction was facilitated by Steve Pappas and Tess Cullen from Chozick Realty, indicating ongoing interest from out-of-state buyers in Hartfords older multifamily properties.
