Ameer Nasir, a 25-year-old man from Trumbull, Connecticut, pleaded guilty to wire fraud after scamming Amazon out of over $3.5 million. He registered 23 trucking businesses with Amazon Logistics, Amazons delivery arm, using fake names and info from real firms without permission. Nasir claimed over 1,000 jobs from Dec 2019 to Feb 2021, faked records, and submitted phony invoices for payment. He agreed to pay full restitution and faces up to 20 years in prison.
