Christopher Root, a 29-year-old inmate at MacDougall-Walker Correctional Institution in Connecticut, was found unresponsive in his cell early Thursday morning. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead. The cause of death is under investigation by the Department of Corrections Security Division and Connecticut State Police.
