Former Connecticut Chief Justice Richard Robinson, who joined Day Pitney just nine days after retiring, is accused of ethics violations in a civil case he oversaw as a judge. He charged over $7,000 for reviewing and commenting on motions for a second appeal to the state Supreme Court. The defendants lawyer, Patrick Flynn, filed a motion accusing Robinson and the firm of breaking professional conduct rules by not getting informed consent from all parties before Robinson worked on the matter. The firm has asked to pause case deadlines until the disqualification motion is resolved.
