Big news for WNBA fans: the Connecticut Sun are relocating to Houston after the 2026 season, reviving the citys pro womens basketball scene. The team, currently based in Uncasville, will play out its final full year there before moving to Texas in 2027. The Sun, originally from Orlando, were bought by the Mohegan Tribe in 2003 and have been in Uncasville since. Despite local bids and pension fund proposals, the league appears to favor Houstons larger market.
