Show Notes

Peter Boyne, a former nuclear engineer and Naval Academy graduate, was convicted of eighteen counts of stalking after a week-long trial in New Haven. Boyne, who ran a blog called the Family Court Circus filled with hateful and threatening posts targeting Connecticut family court judges, was found guilty of crossing into true threats, not protected speech. Prosecutors proved Boyne controlled the blog and intended the posts as serious threats of violence. Boyne is now held without bail awaiting sentencing, where each count could mean up to five years in prison.
