Dave Rubin’s tale is a familiar one for anyone paying attention to America’s ongoing interstate soap opera. Once a proud Californian, he’s now a poster child for the “flee-for-freedom” crowd, swapping the Pacific for palm trees and regulation for relaxation.
Rubin didn’t mince words about his old stomping ground. He calls Gavin Newsom “the ultimate authoritarian” and compared California’s trajectory to a death spiral. “Florida’s gain is California’s loss,” he says, pointing to the 1.9 million people who’ve joined him in the sunshine state since COVID.
Rubin’s not just worried about America. He warns that Keir Starmer's Britain is on a slippery slope too, with online safety laws and “non-crime hate” threatening free speech more than Putin ever could. “It’s the frog in the boiling pot,” he says, one tweet arrest at a time.His advice for saving the West?
