Governments across Asia and Europe are moving fast to rein in Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok. Malaysia and Indonesia are banning it outright, while here in Britain, Ofcom is launching a formal investigation into X over Grok’s image generation. The official reason is child safety and illegal images. But critics say this is about something much bigger: whether British regulators can police lawful American speech far beyond their borders.
