Melissa, a devastating Category 5 hurricane, has been retired from the Atlantic hurricane list following its destructive path through the Caribbean in 2025. The World Meteorological Organization replaced it with Molly, set to join the list in 2031. Melissas peak winds reached 190 mph, matching records set by Dorian and the 1935 Labor Day Hurricane.
