PS: One more notion occurred to me about this episode. Maybe these “kids” are unintentionally playing a good strategy. If they all guess the wrong answer, how could a professor or administrator or other authority figure punish them? Perhaps it’s the stupid professor’s fault if they all get the wrong answer, right?
We could call the strategy “camouflaging their ignorance against the herd”
