S4 Ep 14S4 | Episode 14 | They'd be Dead

E

On the night of 9th November 1996, Alana Cecil, who had only recently turned 16, was excited to attend the Djerriwarrh Bonfire Festival in the small city of Melton, just out of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia. When she left home that night it would be the last time her family would ever see her alive. Sometime in the early hours of November 10th 1996, someone or some people took a syringe and injected Alana Cecil twice, once in each arm, with a lethal dose of Heroin. They then dumped her body in the back driveway of a vacant home. Eight years later a DNA breakthrough identified the semen of two men on and in Alana's body. One being a 49 year old man known to Police, who when questioned by Police simply answered 'No Comment'. Neither these men, nor anyone else has ever been held accountable or responsible for Alana's death. And neither man has been able to offer a valid reason their DNA was present. For 28 years Alana's family have fought for answers, and justice for Alana. Now through this podcast we're hoping that with your help those responsible for her death will finally get what they deserve. In Season Four of GUILT - The Night of the Bonfire, Ryan heads Down Under, to Melbourne Australia to search for the truth. What happened to Alana Cecil? Subscribers will get early access, bonus episodes and ad free listening. S4 Ep 2S4 | Episode Two | DNA

Season 3 | Trailer | Finding Heidi

trailer

This case is the most complicated one I've investigated yet, and for the first time I’ve decided to break my usual protocol of pre release silence, so that I can ask for your help. Heidi and Urban were traveling through the greater Coromandel area in early April 1989. They were last seen in Thames on Friday April 7th. Their vehicle, a white Subaru station wagon is the key to this investigation and was seen at Tararua Creek Road, where it was eventually stolen by David Tamahere. We’re looking for any other sightings of this vehicle during this time or any information that may be relevant to this case.We have a particular interest in the area of Wentworth Valley and Parakiwai Valley near Whangamata. If you were hiking or pig hunting in that area anytime around 1989 or anytime since and feel you may have relevant information we want to hear from you. However small or irrelevant you may feel it is, we want to hear it. If you know someone that may know, but won’t hear this, then please ask them. It might be you that makes the difference. You can contact us by emailing [email protected] . I can assure you of anonymity if that is what you wish. This season of Guilt is going to be unlike any other, we’re going to push the limits of what’s possible in this podcast, with only one thought in mind. And that’s bringing Heidi home, to her family, where she belongs. Guilt is a 100% Independent Podcast. Support the Podcast by becoming a Brevity+ subscriber. S2 Ep 21Introducing: One Minute Remaining

bonus

Welcome to episode one of 'One minute remaining' - Today we start the story of Dorice Moore and Abraham Lee Shakespeare, a story that has layer after layer but that is nothing short of mind blowing.I first contacted Dorice more than four years ago after reading about her story and we've been chatting on and off ever since. Dorice was charged and convicted for the murder of Abraham Lee Shakespear more than twelve years ago, a crime that she has always maintained she is innocent of. Dorice has done a number of interviews over the years with different journalists and programs but from what I've seen and heard she's never really been given the opportunity to tell her side of the story without prejudice from the interviewer.I am not here to prove her innocent or guilty, I'm simply here to allow her to tell her side of the story, a story that has fascinated and confused me the more I have delved into it.This is the first of many chats I will have with Dorice during this season as we not only hear the story from her side but also follow her journey as she fights to clear her name.https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/one-minute-remaining-stories-from-the-inmates/id1644995366Guilt is a 100% Independent Podcast.
