The story of Yosef Hatzadik, Joseph the Righteous, in the first Book of the Torah, tells of the years of his relentless struggle in the face of the temptations of his master's wife. The Torah encapsulates this struggle in one word, וימאן - Vayimaein, and he refused. Within the letters of the root of this word, מ א ן, Mem Aleph Nun, Maein, to refuse, and within its cantillation, the Shalsheles, lies a deep meditation and wellspring of strength and perseverance to prevail in times of temptation and struggle. This meditation guides the listener towards this wellspring.
