Nick Santonastasso is a fitness athlete, model, motivational speaker, and the CEO of Raw Mettle Motivations. Nick was diagnosed at birth with Hanhart Syndrome which is an extremely rare genetic disorder that can either leave the baby with undeveloped organs or limbs with only a 30% chance to live. With there only being 12 known cases, and unfortunately 9 of them resulting in death, Nick is forever grateful to be alive and to be able to bring extreme value to others lives. When Nick was a sophomore in highschool he made the decision to amputate some of his shorter arm so he was able to use it more physically and become a wrestler. With his never give up mindset and extreme work ethic, after being a JV wrestler his junior year, he became the 106lb varsity wrestler of his high school Central Regional in Bayville, NJ. Ever since the age of 12 Nick has been all over TV including appearances on The Today Show, CNN, and FOX. However when the popular app Vine came out, Nick became an internet sensation with his massively viral zombie pranks that led him to getting hired by FOX International to prank Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead in Tokyo, Japan. 066: From Immigrant to Millionaire with Pejman Ghadimi
Pejman Ghadimi is a self-made entrepreneur and best selling book author born in 1982 in the middle of a revolution in Iran, raised in France for the majority of his childhood, and eventually migrating to the United States in 1997. Raised by a single mother his entire life with very limited resources, Pejman quickly adapted to the idea of being resourceful. Due to lack of finances and the inability to go to college due to family obligations, Pejman chose to start working from a young age and focused his efforts on banking where he built a name for himself very quickly, climbing the ladder all the way to the VP level in a short 4 years span all without any type of formal education or formalized training. 061: Why would you buy a business with David Barnett
David Barnett is a 1998 graduate of the Williams School of Business and Economics at Bishop's University, and a graduate of UNBSJ's Electronic Commerce Management Program. Since the late '90s, Mr. Barnett has been building his profile as an expert in the field of small and medium sized enterprises. From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Barnett was a major account representative with the Yellow Pages. This opportunity gave him an insight into the particular challenges of small & medium businesses as he dealt daily with the owners of these companies. In 2005, Mr. Barnett left the publishing industry to start a small business with a partner. Their venture was an immediate success. After opening, operating and building the business, an opportunity to sell presented itself in late 2006. Around this time, Barnett began buying income properties. He eventually owned 3 multi-unit properties and one house which he disposed of in a lease-option deal. In 2006, Mr. Barnett began building his professional consulting practice by starting Advantage Liquidity Partners Ltd. ALP Ltd. is a broker of commercial debt solutions for small and medium sized enterprises including commercial mortgages, business loans, factoring facilities, and capital leases. Barnett has arranged such financing for over 100 small and medium sized companies. Working with entrepreneurs to build their companies and/or acquire other firms naturally led to the field of business brokerage. Mr. Barnett joined Sunbelt Business Brokers in 2008. Sunbelt is the world's largest network of business brokers with over 300 offices on six continents. In 2009, after completing training and testing over an 18 month period in both Canada and the U.S., Mr. Barnett was awarded his business selling certification from a recognized international body. In 2009, Mr. Barnett's company, ALP Ltd. purchased the Moncton Sunbelt office. Barnett was also the only licensee of the Business Buyer Advocate program in New Brunswick. After completing an extensive training and testing process in 2009, David Barnett was awarded the CMEA designation (Certified Machinery/ Equipment Appraiser) by the NEBB Institute. CMEAs are located throughout the United States, Canada and several other countries, and are used by charter banks, BDC, other lending institutions, accountants, lawyers, business buyers/sellers and others to provide needed financial information for a variety of reasons. Over a 3 year period, Barnett helped intermediate 35 business buy/sell transactions in the Maritimes. In December of 2011, Barnett sold the Moncton Sunbelt franchise and took a position with a global financial institution. Mr. Barnett also delivers ProfitLearn seminars and has been receiving superior feedback from students for over two years.
