Ep 67 | What Makes A Wild Child Garden Different?

In this episode we are chatting about why you can spot a wild child garden a mile away.  Let's talk about what makes a wild child garden different because there is certainly something special about growing one.  When I first started gardening I didn't know this, and I overworked and over fed and over sprayed my garden.  And the more I did that, the more I had to do it.  And surprisingly, the less I harvested.  Now, I see the garden as a symphony.  And I show busy women how to see their gardens as a symphony too.  You want to grow a garden you love.  I can help you do that!!      And as always if this episode was helpful to you, please consider leaving a review! :) It helps us to share the garden goodness with more wild child gardeners.   Links Mentioned In This Episode: Are you super inspired from this episode but don't know how to implement the ideas you heard today? #60 The Cool Season Garden Is Different

On this episode, we are looking at how a cool season garden is different from the typical warm season gardens we are all accustomed to growing. We plant it differently, we grow it differently, and while the cool season garden is my very favorite for so many reasons, the number one has to be that it grows itself. This is by far, hands down, the best garden to grow when you are unsteady, don't trust your green thumb, and haven't gained confidence in your gardening abilities yet.  The cool season garden will lead the way, and you will love every minute!! #39 Preparing for the First Frost

Do you know the difference between a frost and a freeze? Winter is coming, so let's dig in to frosts and freezes! If it were slowly getting colder each day, frosts and freezes would be no big deal. The problem is we grow gardens in Zone 9, and that means the temperature can drop or fluctuate by 60 degrees in just 24 hours. That is something our summer plants cannot handle! This week, I'm going to teach you exactly what you should be looking for and how to prepare your garden for frosts and freezes. Who doesn't love a freebie?! #33 America's Real Food Crisis

In this episode, I share my views on the food crisis in America. With prices at the grocery store sky rocketing, genetically modified ingredients ever increasing, and new concerns coming up every day, we definitely have one.  It is hard to believe that in a time of modern day conveniences we must struggle with food scarcity, but it's true.  I read an article about this over the summer and knew this was something we had to talk about.   I am going to share my thoughts on this crisis with you, how I believe we got here, but also, what I believe is the solution.  This episode is a little bit different than what we are used to, but as I'm sure you are expecting, the garden is the center of it all.   ********************************************************* ☆ This is the article I reference in the episode: https://www.socialpolicylab.org/post/grow-your-blog-community ☆ Join me for Salad School September 27th - 28th at noon each day (replays available):   https://www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com/offers/spSXfbhB/checkout ☆ Join the Garden Club for the fall/winter season and learn how to be a gardener so that you can grow anything you want!  Membership is open through September 30. www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com/gardenclub ********************************************************* For more garden goodness follow me at: ▶ www.facebook.com/wildchildkitchengardens ▶ www.instagram.com/wildchildkitchengardens ▶ www.pinterest.com/wildchildkitchengardens   ▶ www.releaseyourinnerwildchild.com
