Changing Grieving Experiences Through Mindfulness and Community with Lisa Miller

Grieving is an individual journey; we all experience different grief processes. However, grieving uniqueness doesn't mean loneliness; the best thing someone grieving can do is be in community. 

In this forty-second episode together, I am joined by the Pharmacy Educator, Certified Mindfulness Workplace Facilitator, Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and Owner of Thrive WomenCare, Lisa Miller. Although Lisa went through several areas throughout her career, her primary focus was always helping others live fulfilling lives and suffering less. 

Throughout this episode, Lisa and I talk about the different types of grief, her most significant grief moment, how she dealt with it, and the powerful connection between mindfulness and grief. Lisa also shared her thoughts on the difference between the DSM medical model, eager to label people, and the counseling model, which focuses on empowering people's strengths and providing the tools they need to grow as they grieve.
