018 – Steve Martin & Weston Zimmerman of Tussey Landscaping in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania

Today Greg Wittstock, The Pond Guy connects with Steve Martin, owner, and Weston Zimmerman, marketing director and crew foreman, of Tussey Landscaping in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Steve was raised in a large family and spent much of his childhood helping his folks with a myriad of family-run businesses. In fact, Steve started working in the green industry as a purveyor of landscape mulch. At the age of 15, his father purchased a lawn care company, which eventually evolved into a full-service landscape business that was led by Steve and his brother. By the mid-1990s, customers began asking for backyard ponds and by the late 1990s Steve was installing Aquascape water features. Fast forward a couple of decades to 2017 when Tussey Landscaping was awarded Aquascape Artist of the Year and Aquascape Top Frog, becoming the first Certified Aquascape Contractor to win two industry awards in the same year. Weston Zimmerman joined Tussey at the age of 16 as a service technician. Today he wears several hats from laborer to photographer and crew foreman to videographer.
