Trump, a creature born of neoliberalism, will continue to destroy democratic institutions. By destroying institutions, neoliberal policies have enabled populists to emerge in Europe, South America and the United States. Joseph Stiglitz, in a previous book, The Price of Inequality, already warned of the risk of populists seizing power.
