David Ben-Gurión (hebreo: דָּוִד בֶּן גּוּרִיּוֹן; Płońsk, Polonia del Congreso; 16 de octubre de 1886-Sde Boker, Israel: 1 de diciembre de 1973), quien recibió al nacer el nombre de David Grün, fue un líder sionista, sindicalista, periodista, político y estadista convertido en primer ministro de Israel entre 1948 y 1954 y nuevamente entre 1955 y 1963. Fue uno de los principales mentores del Estado judío y quien proclamó oficialmente la independencia del Estado de Israel, el 14 de mayo de 1948.
