- Focus on the return of Jesus and the importance of being ready.
- Addressing the temptation to doubt Jesus’ return due to its delay.

- 2 Peter 3:9-10
- Matthew 24:35-38
- Luke 12:35-48 (Be Ready for the Lord’s Coming)
Points:
- You must be ready:
- Belief in Jesus’ return is essential for readiness.
- Over 2,400 scriptures pertain to Jesus’ second coming, more than His first.
- Living in a way that reflects readiness for Jesus’ return.
- There will be punishments and rewards:
- Heaven isn’t communist; there will be varying punishments and rewards.
- Punishments for those who know and refuse, and lighter punishments for those who don’t know.
- Rewards for those who are ready, including greater responsibilities and Jesus serving them.
- Jesus has expectations for you:
- Much will be required from those given much.
- Salvation should lead to a transformed life with purpose and calling.
- Living a Christian life should be impactful and fulfilling.
Closing:
- Luke 17:22-24, 31: The return of Jesus will be unexpected, and we must be prepared.
- The importance of being ready for Jesus’ return, whether it happens in our lifetime or not.
- Reflect on the calling to be ready and live a life that honors Jesus.
