 How do we do discipleship? What does it look like? Why do we do it that way?

The implications of celebrating the Lord's Supper.

What is baptism biblically? Why do we do it? What is it for? What does it do and not do?

Church membership is important. Here, we take a biblical look at it and see why God has said it is vital for our walk as believers. These are matters of membership, and they do matter.

Israel is returning from exile in Babylon. Ezra and Nehemiah read scripture to the people and teach them, and the people react with conviction. How was the Word preached in Scripture? How should we do it today?

Continuing through the Old Testament as we study through the overview of the Bible: Ezekiel. What does the Bible say about generational sin? What is it, and how do we interpret/misinterpret sin, consequence, grace and the gift of a new heart?

Perspective: A prophecy to Israel to see her God clearly; to behold Him in His might, yet to see His coming mercy. This application and scripture speaks to us to see Him clearly and allow His perspective and sovereignty to reign in our lives.

Solomon's slow descent toward a deeply divided heart--the story and practical application. God desires our affections and knows that His affections toward us are all that will satisfy us.

As we've been going through the whole Bible this year, we have reached the accounts of King David. At this time, we look at his writing in Psalm 139 and realize how intimately, how completely God knows us. This is, at first scary, but then serves to help illustrate the depth of His unconditional love.

Truths of how arrogance and failure to continually submit to the LORD can lead to the consequence of not being a usable vessel for His work--Saul's example of this cautions us in many situations, even today.

Overview of the book of Judges; how God was calling Israel and making a way for them and how He calls us and has provided redemption.

Overview of the book of Joshua and a closer look at what God is doing with Israel and Jericho. God is continually saying to Israel, "I have made a way for you; I am making a way for you. Align yourself with me and remember to honor me."

A summary of the message and theme of the book of Deuteronomy (trust in God). He chooses a people, Israel, swears to bless them and asks them to love and remember Him. He loves them simply because He has decided to love them; of no special merit of their own.

Overview of Bible.

God desires an outpouring of mercy instead of a show. We do this in response to the mercy He has shown, not in order to earn His favor.

Why be merciful? Why seek justice? Is it to be rewarded with salvation, commendation or positive feelings? Jesus is God; He was perfectly just and merciful as a human. Therefore, we see what God, Himself, would do and a model for what we should do (which, in turn, glorifies Him).

If we intend to be legitimate followers of Christ, we must be serious lovers of His Word. As we study it and His Spirit reveals it to us, we become equipped for good works, we are well fed and we stay relevant to share the Gospel with the world.

Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey colt--a lesson on the significance of this, the misunderstandings of the Jews in that day, and perhaps our own misunderstandings or downplays of who our LORD is.

Jesus sets His face toward Jerusalem and looks toward His upcoming death. What did it cost His disciples, and what will it cost us to follow Him? Will we accept this supernatural grace and forsake all else to recklessly love and follow Jesus?

True worship vs. false worship. We are created by God with a purpose and need to worship. When we sin and ignore God, we still tend to act out that need to worship toward other things. Our worship should focus upon our perfect and holy Maker

We are justified by faith. God was gracious to give us the Law, but it is our own mishandling and selfishness that causes us to misuse it. It is clear that our salvation does not come from the law, but through Christ by faith.

God's judgment of the Egyptian gods, provision for the Israelites and overall revelation of Himself ("so that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth").

Moses and God's appearance in the burning bush. Who HE IS, who HE has always been, how HE may appear to us.

The story of God's plan for Joseph and how He uses him. God redeems and restores in His sovereignty. While Joseph's brothers made plans for destruction and evil, God was using and redeeming those plans for their own good and the good of their people.

The first mention of God's redemptive plan and His promises (Gen. 3:15).
