Anderson Lee Aldrich, 22, was charged with five counts of murder and five counts of committing a bias-motivated crime causing bodily injury. Authorities on Monday were searching for a motive after the deadly rampage left the community in mourning.
"The motive is still under investigation," Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers told NBC's Today show. "It has all the trappings of a hate crime. But we need to look at social media, we need to look at all kinds of other information that we are gathering from people who know the individual."
