It has been almost a month since the joint US-Israel military strike on Iran dubbed Operation Epic Fury, as well as a counter-attack by Iran. Global shipping has been impacted as well as oil prices, leading to a surge in fuel prices in many countries. A number of allies of the United States have not heeded the request of US President Donald Trump to lend assistance, raising questions as to whether the operation was thought through properly in the first place. Lester Kiewit speaks to Daniel Levy, President of the U.S. Middle East Project to discuss how this reflects on Trump’s competency as a world leader and negotiator.
