The Vegas Golden Knights (23-11-12) completed a 6-5 overtime comeback victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs (23-16-8) on Thursday evening at T-Mobile Arena.
Jack Eichel scored the game-winning goal in overtime and finished with four points (1G, 3A), extending his point streak to seven games as the Golden Knights secured the second-latest comeback win in franchise history. Tomas Hertl forced overtime with the game-tying goal scored with seven seconds remaining in regulation, while Pavel Dorofeyev netted a pair of goals to reach 19 on the season, including 13 on the power play. Mark Stone added a goal and two assists, extending his point streak to 10 games and giving him points in 27 of 30 games this season, a league best.
Mitch Marner recorded two power-play assists in his first game against the Maple Leafs since being traded to Vegas, marking his 18th multi-point game of the season. With multi-point performances from Eichel, Marner, Stone, Dorofeyev, and Hertl, the Golden Knights extended their winning streak to six games and improved their point streak to seven games with the victory.
