The threat of artificial intelligence eliminating jobs and other challenges in the current workplace. The discussion stirs up some memories, and PJH digs up an old cassette tape of his reading of a draft version of a short story composed by PJH in 2015-2016 and later featured in his book On the Edge of Memories. Experience Counts tells the story of Old Hank. A skilled and long-time employee of a major world-wide corporation, who after forty-nine years of employment, the new management of the corporation decides that they no longer require Old Hank’s services.
Only to regret that fateful decision when things went awry a few short months later. . ..
