On this episode of the Gnostic Deluge we are discussing the first two chapters of the Bhagavad Gita. Prince Arjuna finds himself on one side of a dispute for a kingdom, two great armies are lined up on the battlefield, ready to fight to settle the argument. In order to geta closer look at the enemy army, Arjuna has Sri Krishna drive his chariot between the two armies. It is then that Arjuna sees that the other side is more than just the enemy, they are people that he grew up with and is related to. With this realization, Arjuna loses his desire to fight. Sri Krishna consoles Arjuna in the midst of the battlefield and begins to reveal that this battle is only a small part of the true fight that goes on in the heart of man. The true battle is to understand and become who and what we truly are, Enjoy!

On this episode of the Gnostic Deluge, we discuss the most famous text in Christianity- the Semon on the mount (Matthew 5-7). In it, Jesus lays out the blueprint of how his followers are to act. It goes much deeper than the common things that are quoted and known by most people. On this episode of the Gnostic Deluge, we cover the second half of Asclepius from the Hermetica. This portion of the text covers the famous Egyptian Apocalypse known popularly as "The Prophecy of Thoth". We also discuss the true power od consciousness, why God gave it to humans, and how few people find the right way to use it. IN this version, the people listen when Enoch begins preaching, so much so that they make him king. Om this episode of the Gnostic Deluge we continue to look at the Mormon psuedepigraphical "Pearl of Great Price". Joseph Smith purchased four genuine egyptian mummies and some papyrus with genuine hieroglyphic writing in July of 1835. He soon after said that the papyrus contained the writing of Abraham while he was in Egypt , written by his own hand upon papyrus. In 1842 he published the translation as the Book of Abraham which is now part of the LDS churches Pearl of Great Price and canonized scripture for the church. On this Episode of the Gnostic Deluge we finish up the Book of Moses. The focus is on Enoch and his dream visions and preaching. Enoch is only briefly mentioned in the Bible (only 5 verses), so Joseph Smith's inspired bible translation vastly expands the story. We compare some of the similarities found in other Pseudepigraphic texts like The book of Enoch, Jasher, and Book of the Giants. Also, we get a larger view on the Mormon plan of Salvation. Enjoy!
