Excerpt of a 10 hour set by Auva Duhr (Former Saint Maurice) during the festival 48 Stunden Neukölln in Berlin. Every year SPAR*K would wipe their office floor and turn the place into a little club/gallery, with performance artists, and by building some art / architectural piece, combined with a bar and a dj. Some years there were a thousand balloons, other years a light sculpture filled the space, another year visitors could take a bath full of balls (see image), another year a cool futuristic wooden structure was build. It was always great to play for the SPAR*K crew, mostly from late afternoon untill next morning, seeing so many festival visitors hopping in for a look, a talk, a drink or a dance. I would play house classics, deep house, electro, acid, minimal, techno, disco, italo, ambient, basically everything was possible. Good times and 'richtige Flugbedigungen'. "In 1985, the music temple ‘Ancienne Belgique‘ opened its doors in Antwerp, Belgium. its famous ‘sound’ was a very bold mix of new-wave, ska, Balearic, jazz, EBM and film music. The music was rhythmic and slow, the tempo rarely higher than 110 beats per minute. The AB was the birthplace of the Belgian New Beat sound." Celtric has been active in the Belgian underground since 1996. This bonafide underground devotee has been a former member of Belgian underground crews like Funky Green Aliens, Analog Pleasures, Drop Acid Not Bombs, Cultmus & Tribes Gathering and is since 2019 curator of Dance Mekanik. Slowly working on his own brand of deep, slowly mutating acid techno since that time he released in 2021 his debut EP on the Dutch label New York Haunted. This episode is full of interesting electronica, many styles, substyles and cultures meeting each other; this selection comes clearly from an experienced selector and collector; taste all over the place; Arris is one of the two behind SoundUnbound and creates an eclectic and diverse mix for Glory Berlin, with subtitle "Okino Mafune". Enjoy ! The underground scene in the Dutch border town of Enschede is small but fanatical. Audiences dance between robots and play independent games on retro TVs and consoles in side rooms, while listening to a wide variety of music. The common aesthetic of the city's art, music and events is skewed, idiosyncratic, unfinished and politically engaged. SoundUnbound organizes performances and parties in the city and runs a label for artists from the area.
