The Busses are joined by another Māori friend from New Zealand, “Papa Jim” James Watene! Papa Jim’s life had a tumultuous start. As a child, he didn’t know that he had a name other than being called “boy.” After being removed from his mother’s custody, kept away from his father’s care, and placed in abusive foster homes, Jim longed desperately for a father’s love. And one night in his late thirties when he was contemplating ending his own life, he had an amazing encounter with his Heavenly Father and Jim was changed forever.
Papa Jim shares stories of how God is moving in the lives of the people he encounters in his community as he lives out his mission to share the love of our Heavenly Father with a world that needs Him so desperately.
