A Nigerian court authorized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to freeze 24 bank accounts for 90 days. This action stems from an investigation into alleged terrorism financing, linked to a kidnapping case and threats against National Security operatives. The EFCC alleges that the accounts are involved in money laundering and cryptocurrency manipulation. The investigation centers on Lawrence Lucky Eromosele, and the frozen funds will be preserved pending the investigation's conclusion and potential prosecution. The court granted the EFCC's request for a temporary freeze to allow for a thorough investigation.
