中國國家主席習近平，這次在九三閱兵典禮，只有簡短的進行了約8分鐘的演講。演講當中，除了對參與抗戰的各方人物致敬外，習近平也命令解放軍，必須加速建設，成為一流軍隊。另外，雖然沒有具體提到台灣，不過習近平也表達了，「統一領土完整」的重要性，再度暗示中國共產黨，統一台灣的企圖。
