美國洛杉磯正面臨史上最嚴重野火，官方證實已造成至少6人死亡，但實際傷亡數字仍無法確認，與此同時洛杉磯市長第一時間人卻在國外訪問，且她去年才大幅削減了洛杉磯消防局約台幣5.5億元的預算，成為眾矢之的。另外持續乾旱加上強風，為洛杉磯野火失控，創造「完美條件」，專家表示氣候變遷導致野火發生的頻率和強度都在增加。
