美國總統川普15號曾經預告，將處理鋼鋁產品的關稅問題。沒想到19號，美國商務部就發布消息，要擴大範圍，對超過400件鋼鐵和鋁產品加徵50%關稅，徵收範圍之大，令外界相當震驚。有專家就表示，這波估計會影響超過10兆台幣的，鋼鐵和鋁產品，甚至只要產品有閃亮亮的金屬光澤，都有可能在加徵範圍內。
