在與俄羅斯前總統麥維德夫隔空交火後，美國總統川普宣布，基於麥維德夫的高度挑釁性言論，他已經下令，2艘核子潛艦，部署在適當的區域，以防止這些愚蠢，而且具煽動性的言論，不僅僅只是言辭而已。另外，中國也派遣潛艦，前往海參威，預備和俄羅斯海軍展開聯合軍演，還聲稱『不針對第三方』。
