日本政府發布數據顯示，4月消費者物價漲勢加速，核心通膨增溫至3.5%，反映出能源和食物價格都上漲，尤其米價勁揚，過去一年米價幾乎翻倍，還有官員因為米荒失言下台。而日本政府在釋出儲備米後，依舊未能降低米價，現在希望新上任的農林水產大臣，能夠解決問題。
