美國與伊朗，在第三國巴基斯坦進行了，長達21小時的會談後，仍然無法取得協議。美國副總統范斯表示，其中關鍵原因之一，就是伊朗不願意放棄濃縮鈾。此外對於荷莫茲海峽的控制權，雙方也無法達成共識。而美國總統川普發文暗示，將對伊朗實施海上封鎖。後續的火藥味，相當濃厚。
