澳洲去年年底，禁止16歲以下青少年使用社群媒體之後，歐盟各國也開始積極推動相關法令。希臘總理就在8日宣布，將從2027年元旦開始，禁止15歲以下青少年使用社群媒體，法國也在1月通過類似法規，有望在9月實行。至於丹麥、西班牙等歐洲國家，也同樣在積極推動相關禁令。
