川普宣布對伊朗貿易國，加徵關稅，使得中國首當其衝，對此中國外交部回應，警告發動關稅戰，對誰都沒有好處。至於川普意圖奪取格陵蘭，並指出這是要防止當地資源，落入俄羅斯或中國手中，中國外交部也批評，美國不應拿別國，當作謀取私利的藉口。
