美國白宮發言人李威特，10日在社群媒體上，分享了一篇文章，聲稱一名委內瑞拉士兵，在3日美軍發動「絕對決心行動」的期間，遭到了疑似「聲波武器」的攻擊，甚至目擊同袍被擊中後，開始流鼻血與吐血。另一方面，紐約郵報日前也聲稱，美國在這次行動中，首次將「定向能量武器」投入實戰。
